The tech media suffers from the same delusions about Apple that have clouded their prognosticating skills for the last decade. They are still judging Apple by the Mac versus Windows saga that played out over twenty years ago.

no one really grasps how dysfunctional Microsoft has become. Yes Microsoft did spend half a billion dollars for, as near as anyone can tell, absolutely nothing. Not exactly the first time. Asserting that it's a ridiculous supposition is in no way disproving it.

In the time since Windows Mobile 6.0 came out in February of 2007, Apple has released the iPhone—three times.
